Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of this website. Reading its content, opening a page, or using a search feature means that you accept all terms stated below. If you disagree with any condition, you must stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no connection to a local, state, or federal government agency. The site and its advertising partners do not offer products intended for credit decisions, employment screening, insurance underwriting, tenant screening, or another purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its role is to help readers locate criminal-record resources for Gloucester County, New Jersey. It is neither a private investigation service nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independently run private reference site, not a government service. It does not keep official criminal records, obtain records on a visitor's behalf, conduct official background checks, or submit documents for any person.

The site directs readers to Gloucester County record custodians, including the Sheriff's Office, criminal courts, the New Jersey State Police State Bureau of Identification, and the New Jersey Sex Offender Internet Registry. Agency records may be subject to the Open Public Records Act, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., Judiciary access rules, and New Jersey criminal-history dissemination rules such as N.J.A.C. 13:59-1. Links to outside research tools may also appear.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of use, you agree not to:

  • Use the site in violation of federal, New Jersey, or local law
  • Threaten, stalk, or harass a person with information obtained here
  • Rely on site content for employment, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any account, system, or restricted area
  • Send bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools through the pages
  • Interfere with site performance or prevent another visitor from gaining access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use information from this site or a linked tool to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may also violate the law. New Jersey places specific limits on misuse of New Jersey Sex Offender Internet Registry information. N.J.S.A. 2C:7-14 warns against threats, intimidation, harassment, and other misuse, while N.J.S.A. 2C:7-16 can add criminal penalties when registry data is used to commit an offense. The registry serves public-safety awareness, not vigilantism, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and produces no consumer report, credit report, or background check. Its advertising partners likewise do not provide services designed to evaluate job applicants, rental applicants, insurance rates, or creditworthiness. You must not use information from this site or a linked tool to:

  • Set an insurance premium or assess a person's creditworthiness
  • Evaluate a renter or another applicant for housing
  • Make a decision to hire, retain, or dismiss a worker
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other activity governed by the FCRA

When a lawful purpose requires a background check, obtain the correct official product through the New Jersey State Police State Bureau of Identification or use a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

The material here is not legal advice. General information about Gloucester County criminal records cannot determine how a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement rule affects a specific case. Seek advice from an attorney licensed in New Jersey.

6. No Warranties

All site content and functions are offered "as is." No guarantee is made that:

  • A partner search result will be complete, correct, or well matched
  • The website will remain available without delay or interruption
  • Every page will be free from bugs, mistakes, or security flaws
  • Any item of information will be accurate, complete, and current

Criminal records can change when charges are filed or dismissed and when records are amended or expunged. Updates may not be reflected at once, so omissions are possible. Site content is never an official statement from a court, sheriff, the New Jersey State Police, or another government body.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to a sheriff's website, a court portal, a New Jersey agency, a legal-aid organization, or an outside search service. Following a link takes you to a service this site does not operate or control. Responsibility is disclaimed for that service's content, data practices, fees, and availability. Review the third party's own terms before proceeding.

8. Intellectual Property

Gloucester County Criminal History or its content partners own the text, graphics, logos, and code presented here. Without prior written permission, you may not reproduce, alter, distribute, or create derivative work from that content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is disclaimed for damages arising from site use, including actions taken in reliance on information found here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or legal proceedings arising from your use of the site or your violation of these terms, including related costs and legal fees.

11. Governing Law
